Effective March 2012, fourth year high school students all over the Philippines will take the National Achievement Test (NAT).
Based on Deped Memo 266 dated November 24, 2011, NAT IV will be on March 9, 2012.
NAT will be a tool to measure how much the students have learned in his or her 10-year basic education. This will also be a big help to finally institutionalize the K12 curriculum.
The test was formerly administered to second year high school students.

Get ready for NAT on March 2012
Based on the calendar of activities of the Department of Education, the National Achievement Test for Grades 3 and 6 will be held on March 2 and 8, 2012 respectively.
DepEd Memo No. 266 series of 2011 dated November 24, 2011 reminds every one of the scheduled NAT for next year.
The tests covers the five major subject areas - Filipino, English, Science, Mathematics, and Sibika at Kultura (Grade 3) or HEKASI (Grade 6). ONly the schools both in public and private with permit to operate shall be allowed to conduct NAT among their students.
The National Examinations and Testing Center shall be in charge of the development and distribution of the the test booklets and answer sheets.
